The SERU Survey
Student Experience in the Research University
The SERU survey (Student Experience in the Research University) is a comprehensive survey administered to students at the University of Connecticut. Undergraduates receive the survey in even-numbered years, and graduate students are asked to complete the survey in odd-numbered years. The survey data is used to provide administrators, faculty, and staff with unique insights into the student experience here at UConn.

- National College Health Assessment (NCHA): This spring, graduate students were invited to take the NCHA survey. NCHA collects data about health habits, behaviors, and perceptions. Results from this survey can help identify areas for continued health promotion and prevention work at UConn. Student Health and Wellness distributed this survey electronically. It was open from February 25th through March 13th.
Tell us about your experiences at UConn to help ensure a successful journey for all students. Your data will be kept completely confidential.
The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and will be available March 24 - April 23.

Why SERU?
Each spring, UConn's Office of Institutional Research administers the SERU survey to gather student feedback. The survey is conducted with undergraduates in even-numbered years and with graduate students in odd-numbered years.
The results will be used by your instructors, advisors, college, and other administrators to enhance programs, improve student services, strengthen learning opportunities, and ensure a vibrant and supportive learning environment for all students.
This survey provides a powerful way for students to tell us about what's working well, and where improvements can be made in classrooms, labs, and campus life.
