Strategic Enrollment Management
SEM Leadership Committee
A Strategic Enrollment Management Steering Committee comprised of faculty and staff has been established to oversee the development of a cohesive SEM Plan for both undergraduate and graduate enrollment.
The Steering Committee will be co-chaired by Nathan Fuerst, Vice President for Student Life and Enrollment, and Phil Hunt, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President. Together, they bring a wealth of expertise, strategic vision, and a track record of impactful leadership to steer this vital initiative.
The success of this project will depend on the active collaboration and contributions of individuals from across the UConn community, ensuring that our collective knowledge and diverse perspectives drive its success.
Committee Charge
The Steering Committee will establish enrollment priorities as well as an implementation timeline to inform strategic enrollment management (SEM) planning for Storrs and the regional campuses by reviewing relevant data and feedback from the SEM advisory committees related to recruitment, retention, and workforce development. Serving as the campus ambassadors for SEM, this group will communicate broadly to the executive leaders of the campus including the University Senate and others as appropriate. The Steering Committee will also provide recommendations and insights to the President and the Board of Trustees for final decision-making.
